We Must Be Born Again

May we sing to thee, Thy spiritually reborn?
Prepared and immersed, bless us and adorn.
We want to be more transparently clean.
Baptism transformed us to a new sheen

We want to show faith, and make use of priesthood
Till saturated, continually good.
Blessed as new creatures, from this mighty change,

May we absorb truths, keep covenants that protect.

Increase Your Faith

Questions come that threaten

I Was Guided in my Conversion- President Snow

I was guided in my conversion

To seek to know for myself

If I was ready for immersion

To study and pray for  help

I was tempted to not pray

The heavens felt leaden and distant

But the baptism of fire came

Let me share of this instance

While praying with new found faith

I asked the Spirit to confirm

Then eagerly, I did wait

For what God would have me learn

I started, “Heavenly Father,” I said

When, with my lips still open, 

I heard a sound above my head

Like the rustling of silken robes

And immediately, the Spirit

Descended upon me completely

Enveloping my whole person

Filling me from the crown of my head to the soles of my feet

O, the joy and happiness I felt

I was so warmed, with love, I could melt

 “I had no sooner opened my lips in an effort to pray than I heard a sound just above my head, like the rustling of silken robes, and immediately the Spirit of God descended upon me, completely enveloping my whole person, filling me from the crown of my head to the soles of my feet, and O, the joy and happiness I felt!”

Why Have God's Word and Teachers?

Why have God's Word and teachers?
But, that we might attain
A measure of the stature
Of our Lord who ever reigns

A teacher of the world would
Train us how to learn new things
But, it's more for our final good
To grow through what the spirit brings

In death, all of our works and deeds
And, the desires of our heart's will
Be used to determine what needs be
For whate'er we are now, we will be still

If we were filthy- 

we will be filthy
If we were righteous- 

we will be righteous

As we are judged 

by all that's in us

The selfish and disobedient
May be found tremendously smart
But, to God, they've been inconsistent
As, He was not oft found inside their heart

Every thought, and each spoken word
And, everything we chose to do
Will be seen as well as heard
And, we will need to be spotless, too

For, if we're not- we'll not dare
To look upon God, face to face
As everything about us is made bare
How we will need Christ's redeeming grace!

Growing in conversion, 

Overcoming strife

Learning and gaining

Eternal Truths of Light

On a path to become

Ever closer to the Son 

For when we've a testimony of God
It's been revealed by our Father in Heaven

The Bar is Rising

Continually, the bar is rising
For the missionaries prepared to serve
Surprisingly, there's no downsizing
As we've plenty and they show great verve

The message can not be memorized
As from the scriptures the truths will come
And a testimony must burn bright
So it can be shared with that special one

And may they see through your example
How to humbly pray and know for themselves
Then nothing can weaken or trample
The plant grown where one continually delves

Who Will Know and Hear the Voice of the Lord?

Those who know and hear the voice of the Lord.
Have retained His name within a changed heart.
Those who've sought Him, and for Him have labored,
Abound in good works, steadfast in their part!

Mosiah 5
7 And now, because of the covenant which ye
have made ye shall be called the children of
Christ, his sons, and his daughters; for behold,
this day he hath spiritually begotten you;
for ye say that your hearts are changed through
faith on his name; therefore, ye are born of him
and have become his dsons and his daughters.

to retain the name written always in your hearts,
that ye are not found on the left hand of God,
but that ye hear and know the voice by which ye
shall be called, and also, the name by which he
shall call you.

With a long glance in the rear view mirror,

With a long glance in the rear view mirror,
I think how I've been so defective.
To the Father, Humbly, I plead in prayer.
I long for His love and perspective.

He knows of my shortcomings and despair,
The things which easily beset me.
And for what I need best, He is aware.
I will follow His paths to safety.

How far from sin will be a safe distance?.
My life has missed the best scenery.
I want joy in life, not just existence.
I want vistas and to see clearly.

My Savior, all alone, through His suffering
Knows of the darkness of my despair.
How can I not receive what He's offering?
A second chance, a life with repair.

There’s a GLOW

There's a warm glow from the Son that guides our Father’s plan,
And, has since time began
This Light gives life to all of our God’s creatures,
And to the soul of man
It sparks glory in every bit of intelligence,
That, from the Son, all life shines with His magnificence
If we find we’re at the end of a long, long rope
This glowing Light, this loving Light,
Can turn us towards the bright Son, seeking hope

Each of our choices are governed by the Light, conscience, and
God’s commandments
This Light helps us to want to have God’s guidance,
And to strive for Christ-like patience
It shines, through reflection's power, so man ponders-
"Who will really get hurt when there’s a blunder?"
Our very lives can be put into new focus
With God's plan, we can fight, with our Lord's light,
The things that do dim the clear good Light in us

When we're good there's a sweet peace as a blessings’
As a kind caressing
And when we disobeys God’s laws the heart will know
"There is something missing"
The mind works best with the presence of the Holy Ghost
Who testifies of what all man needs the most
Finding Christ, losing pride, loving everyone
More service brings, more service shares,
Christ-like Light in man which comes from the Son

Someone can make a hundred eighty degree turn
To make changes and learn,
And as the conversion to truths witness and lend
The help for the bosom to burn
Faith does grow, and there's new purpose for the knees learn to bend
It’s through repentance that man’s washed white, And then cleansed
Baptism will come with a confirmation.
This light can grow, this light does grow,
To lead man towards eternal salvation
