Great Reservoirs of Spiritual Water

Great reservoirs of spiritual water
Have been safeguarded for us to partake
We hear the words of Heavenly Father
And feel of His love which does not forsake

He'll nourish us from a living fountain
And give us what's vital in constant sips
Water's the purest in a high mountain
Where also flows what's from the prophets lips

For profit and learning and correction
When we're spiritually fed we will not thirst
To overcome sin and change direction
We must draw daily from the water first

When we're saturated, there's a cleansing
To wet our appetites, we add fasting
With increased focus, there's more we can see
There is a joy that is everlasting

We have a keystone to our religion
And we need not dilute what's been sent pure
The Book of Mormon can answer each deep question
We'll dare not go beyond, to stay secure

When we've problems too great for human strength
A quiet hour spent in meditation
Helps us tune in with God, He's close at length
And, we have faith without hesitation

We've a well of water that's springing up
And from this high source, we can clearly see
To atone for us, Jesus filled his cup
He'll help us repent and much cleaner be

Shall We Not Cry, When There's a Passing

Shall we not cry,
When there's a passing?
Shall we not sigh,
With eyes downward casting?

In the fresh grave
Now rests a dear loved one,
Whom Christ can save
For for each, He has won!

Mary's Enduring Love

We can pay tribute, as did Christ
Who showed complete obedience
To the Father, though His life was the price
There was no regret or grievance

While the whole earth, He'd soon ransom
He also paid tribute to His mother
She'd contributed to what He'd become
She understood His role, like no other

How He wanted her protected!
Some of His last thoughts were of her
So she would not feel dejected
To provide, it was John, he offered

We all need someone to live for
Someone that is always there
For decades, Mary was at the side of the Lord
Now it was her time to receive care

Such was Mary's enduring and abiding love

She exemplified steadfast faith and devotion

Continually she prayed to our Father above

Her trust in His plan did not waver in the commotion

Love causes change
As our lives rearrange

Where's our haven?
Our safe place to live in?
It's where honor
And loving symbols are
Where contention
Has no place to station

God's found in love
As blessings from above
Where there's virtue
His love resides there, too
It's apparent
We've premortal parents
Heav'nly Father
And our Heav'nly Mother
And when love's gone
The sobbings of those wronged
Ascend up high
Against those who've shown pride

We see Christ's love
Reflected in true love
At Christmas time
One finds people are kind
You can hear it
As you believe in it
You can see it
And anticipate it
You can feel it
As you grandly share it
It's yours to own
But, never just alone

Twas years ago
A class was troubled so
What could be done?
The solution, but one
The problem child
With love, must become mild
She confessed
She asked him, and was blessed
And now the boy
Became her greatest joy
And, aged, she still knew him
Through her gaze became blank and dim

In her nineties
She'd not eat... her fork teased
She knew no one
And not a word she spoke
When lunch ended
And... the words one-sided
He stood to leave
And you would not believe
He said "God Bless "
And she- "Why you're Thomas!"
She kissed his hand
Love... passed the aging sand

"How I love you,"
She said. There were tears, too-
On hands bestowed.
Now, those hands were hallowed
The air was cool
Outside the sky was blue
An azure blue
The snow was white
A crystal white
The words of the Master
Were felt deeper
"Woman, behold thy son!"
As she'd beheld this one

A wondrous gift
Graced by God was given
Heavenly blessings
Were there for receiving
At a doorway
Patiently, He'll await
Till... us He hears
And with love... Christ enters
Through a doorway
That's opened... with our faith
Through a doorway
Of love... where all is okay
