Hold to Your Wishes

Hold to your wishes
Of great love and peace
You soon will witness
Sweet dreams will increase

When our eyes drift off
There's much we explore
Though yesterdays scoff
We know there's much more

Hold to your wishes
And hold to your dreams
While darkness inches
Out bursts the moonbeams

Though gone the sunset
And in creeps great doubt
Our dreams will not let
As inside they shout

Hold to your wishes
Of prosperity
It'll be delicious
In wakes clarity

When you are sleeping
Your dreams are in sight
There for safekeeping
Till they come to light

[Verse 1] Hold to your wishes Of great love and peace You soon will witness Sweet dreams will increase When our eyes drift off There's much we explore Though yesterdays scoff We know there's much more [Pre-Chorus] Though gone the sunset And in creeps great doubt Our dreams will not let As inside they shout [Chorus] Hold to your wishes Hold to your dreams While darkness inches Out bursts the moonbeams Hold to your wishes Hold to your dreams What waits in silence Can still set you free [Verse 2] Hold to your wishes Of prosperity It'll be delicious In wakes clarity When you are sleeping Your dreams are in sight There for safekeeping Till they come to light [Bridge] When the room goes still And the night leans in Keep the spark alive Let the whole thing begin [Chorus] Hold to your wishes Hold to your dreams While darkness inches Out bursts the moonbeams Hold to your wishes Hold to your dreams What waits in silence Can still set you free [Outro] Hold to your wishes And hold to your dreams Till morning answers What your heart has seen

Weaknesses Show You God's Hand

Weaknesses are great
For they show you God's hand
As you grow in faith
You further understand

Your speech may be slow
Your writing a jumble
Still work, you will grow!
Believe and be humble!

Moses was slow of speech
And Jacob could not write
Strength was given to each
So they could lead us right

Verse 1] Weaknesses are great For they show You God’s hand As you grow in faith You further understand Your speech may be slow Your writing a jumble Still work, you will grow Believe and be humble [Pre-Chorus] You shape what is small You teach what is weak When I cannot stand tall You still make me meek [Chorus] Slow of speech Still called to lead Slow of speech You give what I need Slow of speech But strong in Your sight Slow of speech You make it right [Verse 2] Moses was slow of speech And Jacob could not write Strength was given to each So they could lead us right What You ask, You supply What You send, You sustain You lift up the low And You call them by name [Pre-Chorus] You shape what is small You teach what is weak When I cannot stand tall You still make me meek [Chorus] Slow of speech Still called to lead Slow of speech You give what I need Slow of speech But strong in Your sight Slow of speech You make it right [Bridge] Use every scarred hand Use every trembling word Make faith rise again Let Your truth be heard [Final Chorus] Slow of speech Still called to lead Slow of speech You give what I need Slow of speech But strong in Your sight Slow of speech You make it right

Can you think of many who when called were concerned over their weaknesses?

Assurance- the Power of the Savior's Atonement

No matter who we have been before
We can become whole and even holy!
Through the sanctifying power of our Lord

No matter the pit of Hell, vile, with stench
He awaits to cleanse, to heal, and to teach

Problem Solver

Be part of the solution

Pray over the problem

And amidst  the confusion

Add words that do soften

Behavior gone rotten

If not....take walks OFTEN

Then, help them feel what you feel

Let them see your pain

Bring them back to love, made real

Where you both can explain

And seek God once again

To walk in truth made plain

Never let a problem

Overshadow your love

No matter or how often

Light awaits from above

We cannot have enough

For peace in life is tough

Verse 1] Be part of the solution Pray over the problem And amidst the confusion Add words that do soften Behavior gone rotten If not....take walks OFTEN Then, help them feel what you feel Let them see your pain [Pre-Chorus] Bring them back to love, made real Where you both can explain And seek God once again To walk in truth made plain [Chorus] Be part of the solution Be part of the solution Pray over the problem Love can lead us home Be part of the solution Be part of the solution When the truth feels heavy Love still stands alone [Verse 2] Never let a problem Overshadow your love No matter or how often Light awaits from above We cannot have enough For peace in life is tough So when the room goes cold Stay kind, stay strong, stay true [Pre-Chorus] Bring them back to love, made real Where you both can explain And seek God once again To walk in truth made plain [Chorus] Be part of the solution Be part of the solution Pray over the problem Love can lead us home Be part of the solution Be part of the solution When the truth feels heavy Love still stands alone [Bridge] If the words come sharp Let mercy answer first If the heart is tired Let grace unseal the hurt No wall stays forever When love is made real We kneel in the storm And learn how to heal [Final Chorus] Be part of the solution Be part of the solution Pray over the problem Love can lead us home Be part of the solution Be part of the solution When the truth feels heavy Love still stands alone

Recuperate With Christ- We Give Our Sins Away

We did not come to church today
To show how great we've been
We came to give our sins away
And recuperate with Him

We come with hearts grown heavy
And worries that would to stop us
Sometimes we feel so empty
That we lay our souls before Jesus

For his holy table is there
His emblems covered with cloth
Then the sacrament we share
To receive His atoning grace

His grace to keep on going
To endure unto the end
To be seen clean, ever growing
To feel light and love within

[Verse 1] We did not come to church today To show how great we've been We came to give our sins away And recuperate with Him We come with hearts grown heavy And worries that would stop us Sometimes we feel so empty That we lay our souls before Jesus [Pre-Chorus] For his holy table is there His emblems covered with cloth Then the sacrament we share To receive His atoning grace [Chorus] We come to give our sins away We come to give our sins away His grace will keep us going His grace will make us clean We come to give our sins away We come to give our sins away To endure unto the end To feel light and love within [Verse 2] His grace to keep on going To endure unto the end To be seen clean, ever growing To feel light and love within When the road feels long and hollow When my hands are tired and worn I will come, I will follow To the table He has borne [Pre-Chorus] For his holy table is there His emblems covered with cloth Then the sacrament we share To receive His atoning grace [Chorus] We come to give our sins away We come to give our sins away His grace will keep us going His grace will make us clean We come to give our sins away We come to give our sins away To endure unto the end To feel light and love within [Bridge] Let mercy make us kneel Let sorrow turn to song We lay it all before Him And He makes us strong [Final Chorus] We come to give our sins away We come to give our sins away His grace will keep us going His grace will make us clean We come to give our sins away We come to give our sins away To endure unto the end To feel light and love within

Human Dignity

Living in complete darkness

Laboring and tunneling by hand

In a death camp- its purpose

To execute the solution plan

Each morning they got coffee

Then lunch potato peel water

For dinner 3 slices of bread

Nothing else was offered

The skin sacrifices

To fuel each worn heart

As cruelty rises

Hate's works delt in the dark

So thin they nearly vanished

But none could erase

Each soul's will to survive

For tomorrow, just in case

Liberation would come

And deliver them from

Annihilation

Extermination

Then, the rescues came

Each tried to stand up tall

With human dignity

As God's children, after all

Human dignity refers to the intrinsic worth of every individual, emphasizing that all people possess a special value simply by being human. This concept underpins various moral and political rights, asserting that every person deserves respect and ethical treatment regardless of their status or circumstances.

Key Aspects

  • Inherent Value: Human dignity is tied to humanity itself, not contingent on external factors like social status or achievements.
  • Moral Foundation: It serves as a basis for fundamental rights and duties, influencing legal and ethical standards.
  • Universal Application: The idea promotes equality, suggesting that all individuals should be treated with respect and fairness.

The Final Solution during WWll was for the genocide of Jews. 6 million were killed.

I just learned about one of the camps: The Ebensee Camp- Of the prisoners rescued, over 700 died from the starvation they had endured. They lived in complete darkness. It was painful for not only their eyes to adjust to daylight but their emaciated thin skin!

Breakfast- coffee

Lunch- potato peelings in boiled water

Dinner- 150 grams of bread- todays equivalent of 3 or 4 slices

written of another camp:

In April 1945, as American soldiers entered the gates of Mittelbau-Dora, they were met with a silence heavier than gunfire. Among the survivors stood a man whose shadow seemed stronger than his body — as if it had learned how to stand when he no longer could. When he saw the soldiers, he tried to rise. Not because he had the strength — but because dignity still lived inside him. His legs were thin like dried branches, his ribs visible beneath fragile skin. His body had spent years sacrificing itself just to keep his heart alive. When he stood, his knees gave way, forgotten by muscles long starved into weakness. He weighed no more than a child. Yet he carried the unbearable weight of cruelty, hunger, and survival. What broke the soldiers most was not how frail he was — but how gentle. He whispered apologies to the medics for being “too slow,” for “taking space,” for breathing as if even life itself felt like something he had to earn. A nurse knelt beside him, holding his hand, softly reminding him of the truth: “You are not a burden. Your body has already done something extraordinary — it survived when the world tried to erase you.” He lived only a few weeks after liberation. But he died free.

And long after his passing, the soldiers carried his memory with them — the image of a man whose body had nearly vanished, but whose humanity never did. His shadow stayed behind, etched into their hearts as a reminder of what must never be allowed to happen again. We share stories like his not for sorrow alone — but for remembrance. Not for numbers — but for names, faces, and fragile souls who fought every day just to remain human. Their shadows still speak to us now, across time, with a simple plea: Never again.  Watch the full story here: https://ifeg.info/2026/07/23/the-man-whose-shadow-survived-the-forgotten-prisoner-who-taught-soldiers-the-meaning-of-humanity/

Outpouring Love

Hanging tubes

The needles

The feeble state

As we all wait

Tears to chase

As hands tremble

Prayers...we pace

And wait, humbled

Fear and hope

Memories flood

Then, it comes

Outpouring, love

We see signs

God is with us

Hearts align

Anew to trust

Come what may

We will say

God is here

Love is near

I’m asking for prayers for our 32-yr-old pregnant daughter who suffered a stroke from clots in the brain a week ago. It has been a very difficult week of ups and downs, but mostly downs. Last night her brain was swelling again, clots were reforming and getting bigger and bleeding was increasing, so they took her in for a second surgery to remove the clots, which was a successful surgery. But then her brain started swelling too much overnight so they made the decision to remove the left half of her skull to give her brain room to expand. Now it’s a waiting game. Our Kaylie has a 2 1/2 yr old daughter at home who loves her mommy very much. Plus, I can’t imagine life without my eldest daughter, whom I love more than words can express. We believe in the power of prayer, so please join us in asking our Heavenly Father for the brain swelling to go down, for the clots and bleeding to stop and for Kaylie to wake up and recover fully. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

God's Words Bring Me Back to Light

What modern day words

From our latter day prophet

Have you more than heard

But kept with you for profit?

Added to my bible

Is a quote that oft I read

When my faith feels feeble

I recall it's God I need

And I come to myself

To a time the spirit burned

In a way more than felt

Because God spoke and I learned

May we all do likewise

For it is easy to forget

In this world of darkness

We've Christ's glorious light within!

Yes, the soul illuminates

We dare not go passive

For Satan looms and he waits

To dim God's words for they free lives

Come and be nearer to God

And bask in the spirit

Study, fast, pray, and go serve

And help others hear Him

We really are born again

Spiritually unto light

God's work of righteousness, then

Keeps it burning bright

[Verse 1] What modern day words From our latter day prophet Have you more than heard And kept with you for profit? Added to my bible Is a quote that oft I reed When my faith feels feeble I recall, it's God, I need [Pre-Chorus] And I come to myself To a time the spirit burned In a way more than felt Because God spoke and I learned [Chorus] Come and be nearer to God Come and be nearer to God Bask in the spirit And let your soul be stirred Study, fast, pray, and serve Study, fast, pray, and go serve Help others hear Him And keep His words in you [Verse 2] May we all do likewise For it is easy to forget In this world of darkness We've Christ's glorious light within! Once the soul illuminates We dare not go passive For Satan looms and he waits To dim God's words for they free lives [Pre-Chorus] And I come to myself When the fire starts to wane Back to simple truth Back to heaven's saving name [Chorus] Come and be nearer to God Come and be nearer to God Bask in the spirit And let your soul be stirred Study, fast, pray, and serve Study, fast, pray, and go serve Help others hear Him And keep His words in you [Bridge] We really are born again Spiritually unto light God's work of righteousness, then Keeps it burning bright When the night comes close And the world feels cold and bare I will turn my heart And find Him waiting there [Final Chorus] Come and be nearer to God Come and be nearer to God Bask in the spirit And let your soul be stirred Study, fast, pray, and serve Study, fast, pray, and go serve Help others hear Him And keep His words in you We really are born again We really are born again Spiritually unto light And we walk in Him

“For I, the Lord, the king of heaven, will be their king, and I will be a LIGHT unto them FOREVER, that hear my words.” 2 Nephi 10:14 “That which is of God is light; and he that receiveth light, and continueth in God, receiveth more light; and that light groweth brighter and brighter until the perfect day.” Doctrine and Covenants 50:24

I found the inspiration from Jeanine. Thank you!

I've had this quote taped to the back page of my bible for the last 15 years... it is one I love. "The experience of each individual who is really born again is similar to the experience of Alma and the sons of Mosiah, although it may not be so dramatic. The effect upon each person's life is likewise similar. No person whose soul is illuminated by the burning Spirit of God can in this world of sin and dense darkness remain passive. He is driven by an irresistible urge to fit himself to be an ACTIVE AGENT of God in furthering righteousness and in freeing the lives and minds of men from the bondage of sin. God help all honest men to be born again, and come to be of sound understanding, and to know the word of God, and maintain the spirit thereof by STUDY, FASTING, PRAYER, and WORK, that we may be blessed with HIS POWER and authority." He's Been There Before

He's Been There Before by Elder Troy Whittle
The alarm bell rings at 6:30, I stumble to my feet
I grab my companions bedding and pull off his sheets
A groan fills the room, is it already time to arise?
It seems like just a second ago I was able to shut my eyes

The morning activities follow- study, prayer and such
When it's time to leave the apartment, you feel you haven't accomplished much
"We have a super day planned," My comp. says with a grin
I lowly utter a faithless breath, "Yeah, if anyone lets us in."

With the word of God and my faithful Schwinn, we ride off in the street prepared to
Face another day of humidity and heat
It's 9:30 in the evening, the day is almost through
My champion and I are riding home not accomplishing what we thought to do

We ride up to the mailbox, hoping to receive a lot
Only to look inside and hear my echo reverberate "air Box"
We go up to our apartment, the day is now complete
The only thing to show for our work is a case of blistery feet

It's past 10:30 p.m. My companion is fast asleep,
Silence engulfs me all about and I begin to weep
In the midst of sadness, I kneel down to pray
I need to talk to father, but I'm not sure what to say

"Oh, Father" I begin, "What happened to us today?
I thought we'd teach somebody, but everyone was away
My hands, my aching hands- worn, hurt and beat;
If our area was any smaller, we'd have knocked every street"

"Why on missions are the days so much alike?
The only difference about today was the flat tire on my bike
Will you send some cooler weather? The heat is killing me
I sweat so bad, it gets in my eyes, it's very hard to see"

"Why do I have to wear a helmet, isn't your protection enough?
People always laugh at me, and call me stupid stuff
Please send us investigators so I may give them what they lack
I want to give them Books of Mormon, the weight of them hurts my back"

"And what about my family: They don't have much to say
I'm sick of not hearing from home day after day after day
Oh Father, Why am I here am I just wasting time?
Sometimes I just want to go home, I'm sorry but that's on my mind"

"My companion, Heavenly Father, what are you giving me?
"The way he rides his bicycle, I don't think he can see
Now you have it, I can't go on, I don't know what to do
That, my Father in Heaven, is the prayer I have for you"

My prayer now finished, I stand up, then jump right into bed
I need my rest for tomorrow, we have another long day ahead
Sleep start to overtake me, I seem to drift away
Then it seems a vision takes me to another time in another day

I'm standing alone on the hill. The view is very nice
A man walks to wards me and says, "My name is Jesus Christ"
Tears of joy well up inside, I fall down to His feet
"Arise," He states, "Follow me to the shade. You and I need to speak"

My attention's towards my Savior, total and complete
He says, "Your mission is similar of what happened to me
I understand how you feel, I know what you're going through
In fact, it would be fair to say I've felt the same as you"

"I even know how you felt when no one listened to you
At times I felt not quite sure what else I could do
I know you don't like to ride a bicycle, for you a car would be sweet
Just remember the donkey I rode wasn't equipped with 21 speeds"

"I understand you don't like sweating, in fact it's something you hate
I remember when I sweat blood from ev’ry pore, oh the agony was great!
I see you don't like your companion- you'd rather have someone else-
I once had a companion named Judas who sold my life for wealth"

"It's hard to wear a helmet and have people make fun of you
I remember when they put thorns on my head and called me King of the Jews
So you feel burdened down by the weight of your pack
I recall how heavy the cross was when they slammed it on my back"

"Your hands hurt from tracting and knocking on doors all day
I guess when they pounded nails into mine, I ached in a similar way
It's hard not to hear from home when your family's not there to see
I lost communication on the cross and cried, "Father, why hast Thou forsaken me?"

"We have a lot in common, but there's a difference between us you see
I endured to the end and finished my mission, so follow and do like me"
He embraced me with His arms and His light filled me with His love
With tears in my eyes I watched as He went back to the Father above

I stood with awe and wonder when a beep rang in my head
I listened and heard the alarm, then realized I was in my bed
My companion let out a groan, "6:30 already, no way!"
I sat up and said, "Come on, I'll even carry your scriptures today!"

No matter what we go through, when we feel we can't take more
Just stop and think about Jesus Christ, He's been there before

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints

These poems are my own thoughts and impressions as I study the gospel of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter- Day Saints

I encourage you to read from the Book of Mormon and the standard works, and listen to modern day prophets, also, that your mind and heart might be touched.
