Is one of strength and endurance
As sisters worked together selflessly
At a time long before women's suffrage

They truly held on... for Zion's tomorrow
As they bore persecution and extreme poverty
One would weep to read about their sorrows
While feeling but awe of their generosity

Born of faith in Jesus Christ
Charity remains, today, the motto
Regardless what be the storms of life
There's purpose and heroines to follow

Now, as the church reaches across the earth
Diverse Sisters give comfort as well as succor
Out of love and concern that others know of their worth
They serve, as the teach and testify of the Savior

From heart to heart this legacy is passing along
As the gospel message reaches from home to home
That the family can be made eternally strong
As the joy of the Atonement becomes more and more known

13:1 Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have
not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.

13:2 And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all
mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I

There Was a Test in the Spirit World

There was a test
In the spirit world
Ending peace and rest
As words were hurled

One third of heaven
Forever failed
God's plan was given
And they rebelled

Before we were born
We were all taught
Heaven became torn
As a war was fought

We stood by our Savior
Without any doubt
While Satan lost all favor
And to earth, was cast out

Now, knowing us as we truly are
He has an unseen advantage over us
To tempt and try...he is never far
Yet... we've helps to be morally courageous

The greatest being the Atonement
Given through the works of Jesus Christ
With His Spirit, if we are repentant
We'll be led unto eternal life

The scriptures are our guide
As we read them with the Holy Ghost
Too, as faith and prayer is applied
We receive what we need the most

Communication with God helps banish fear
Such that our hearts fill with faith and love
As through the priesthood protection nears
Come of our Father in Heaven above

Then, even if we are cast into a deep pit
By evil hands that would to destroy
Still, shining for us, is the Holy Spirit
Our greatest blessing, on earth, to enjoy

This Day- Probation and Grace

 

[Verse 1] Each day Thou gives us is as a fine treasure, For me and my house to serve with great pleasure. I've sought Thee early to find and to know Thee. Bless this wise servant for what brings cleansing. We have been given probation to improve. While we have bodies ever to control and move, We can know which tasks truly matter the most. Bless me with promptings of the Holy Ghost. [Pre-Chorus] Prayerful reading can set our course each new day. When we submit... we act without a delay. Will my garments be white to go no more out? Help me to know how I can show Thee I'm devout. Walk in the Light

 

[Verse 1] We were all taught by Elohim, He, the Father of our spirits And we wanted to be like Him To prove we're faithful, and fully His We've unique characteristics He designed our earth life with love And o'ersaw all the logistics What can we experience enough of? Remember "O Remember"

 

If we write down just a few things that happen each new day,
We'll see the hand of God reaching to our fam'lies today.
Although we don't remember God and His Beloved Son.
If we seek Him, God will show us the things which He has done.
The Holy Ghost can bring light through a veil of dark blindness.
A journal shows a path to God. We'll recognize kindness.
O remember, please remember how you have been so blessed.
And establish, writing habits and of His hand confess.

When we're faithful God protects us and helps us to prosper.
Then is the time that we harden and think God's laws hamper.
It's easy to forget blessings, and thus we should give heed.
For what's inside our hearts can change the blessings eyes have seen.
So, too, the grind of poverty and distress darkens hope.
Then it's hard for the Holy Ghost to prompt what helps us cope.
O remember, please remember how you have been so blessed.
And establish, writing habits and of His hand confess.

There is a cure and a pattern in the sacrament prayers.
We promise God and our natures change as we know He cares.
The Holy Ghost is His Gift that reveals things through a veil.
We'll see God's hand in our service. He strengthens what is frail..
Our warm feelings can stir others so they will remember.
When we've Christ's name that's upon us, there's mercy that's tender.
The atonement helps us live lives that lead us toward God.
And we have help to remember the paths He helps us trod.

We Are as One

We as one, are called to the work

We've souls to save. Let no one shirk

Till the harvest comes unto an end

In general conference twice a year, we are blessed with the opportunity to hear the word of the Lord for us from His servants. That is a privilege beyond price. But the value of that opportunity depends on whether we receive the words under the influence of the same Spirit by which they were given to those servants (see D&C 50:19–22). Just as they receive guidance from heaven, so must we. And that requires of us the same spiritual effort.

"Families and Prayer" by President Henry B. Eyring

He speaks tenderly of finding his father after he had been stuck on his knees, having knelt to pray while enduring the pain of cancer.  He told Henry that he asked why he must suffer when he had tried all his life to be good and God told him He needed brave sons.

It is by faith that you can lay hold upon every good thing. Just as you are marked as a target by the enemy of righteousness, you have been protected and watched over by your Heavenly Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. They know you. They know all the forces and individuals around you. They know what is ahead of you.
And so They know which of the choices you make, which of the desires you satisfy, and which of the circumstances around you will make the most difference in keeping you walking in the light.
I testify that by the Spirit of Christ and by the Holy Ghost, you may walk confidently in whatever difficulties will come. Because you are so valuable, some of your trials may be severe. You need never be discouraged or afraid. The way through difficulties has always been prepared for you, and you will find it if you exercise faith.Henry B Eyring
