God’s Tender Mercies

God’s tender mercies can be found
When our emotions are tightly wound.
A special sign to show He knows and He cares
That He is with us and our troubles He bares.
A favorite Hymn, words in a talk.
Witness to us in whose footsteps we walk.
We feel as though with God our spirit mingles
We are left in awe with loving tingles.

Our thoughts provide a place to grow.
Where new enlightenment can flow.
Thus, we store thoughts for good decisions,
And show gratitude for those guided actions.
We ponder the meaning of life in our prayers.
And gain new perspective from one who cares.
We feel as though with God our spirit mingles
We feel highly held by wings of eagles.

The future holds great mysteries.
We have potential and destinies.
A noble lasting new-found birth.
We will have added glory beyond our worth.
In celestial mansions, we will live.
Dwelling close to Him... who’s Son He did give.
Then we’ll know that with God our spirit mingles
We’ll see we are surrounded by His angels.

and trials and aid comes along.
Know that God is with you to see you through
and will help you to be strong.

I was touched by two things in this story.  The man is working to save his life and marriage.  Others (complete strangers) are cheering for him and helping him along..

My Faithful Gardenias

My faithful gardenias in a pot
Produce their blossoms when it's hot
But one season they did not
I brought them in... Then I forgot...

Then one day while yet in January
Something happened that was extraordinary
My gardenias bloomed! With fragrance worth sharing
But, my dear friend found it more than caring

"How did you know? My favorite!" She said
As she lay there wilting upon her death bed
"I didn't, but God did", came my reply
T'was a miracle for her, we could not deny

For Heavenly Father was fully aware
That Anita was in need of tender watch care
And that she'd not make it until Spring
Well, back last year, He knew of this thing....

See her resting in her casket?
And of all the flowers lying near in baskets
A single white lay on her to rest
Pinned to what endows her the best

I Too Am Now in Poverty

I must be patient in my poverty
And watchful unto temptations
For that which I endure prayerfully
Becomes my best education

Alma 34:38-41

That ye contend no more against the Holy Ghost, but that ye receive it, and take upon you the name of Christ; that ye humble yourselves even to the dust, and worship God, in whatsoever place ye may be in, in spirit and in truth; and that ye live in thanksgiving daily, for the many mercies and blessings which he doth bestow upon you.
Yea, and I also exhort you, my brethren, that ye be watchful unto prayer continually, that ye may not be led away by the temptations of the devil, that he may not overpower you, that ye may not become his subjects at the last day; for behold, he rewardeth you no good thing.

With Healing in His Wings

With healing in His wings
And tender mercy, too;
Our Lord, our King of Kings
Helps us with His works to do.

Those suffering are in need
Of faith and hope and trust.
We'll nourish and we'll feed-
Who'll lift them from the dust?

With power over death

Gods' tender mercies flowing down like rain.
Lighten our burdens as they ease our pain,
Giving us hope and guidance from above.
Gods' tender mercies fill our lives with love.

When we're discouraged thinking all is lost.
Our older brother knows of all the cost.

The Atonement

Our dear Redeemer secured anchors for our safe ascent.

With Gods' own plan as His focus, as His sole compass.
He came to satisfy sheer justice and to strengthen us.
As the innocent lamb He came, His pure life was slain.
From all sin He did refrain,
To gain more than all of our pain.
He came to conquer all thereof mankind’s devoid of.
And show us the perfect love of Father above,
If we center our lives on Jesus the Christ.
We'll find peace throughout our climb and then sweet eternal new life.

He knows all the slips each man can make when we Him forsake.
And we think our own paths to make, though the wrong we take.
For tender mercies yet bound can place us safely sound.
He's tried and secured the ground.
As once we were lost, we are homeward found.
To endure the climb, we need the rod for pressing up,
Towards Him who knows of us and drank the bitter cup.
His knowledge lifts our spirit, if we would but hear it.
And be Christ-like inherent, praying through His good merit.
