You can be the best parent
Giving love day to day
But life can change in an instant
Your children can pass away
Then, with no one to pass on
Gone the loved ones your lived for
This is called vilomah
Or against the natural order
For gone is your heart, in part
Mourning your hope of the future
Before it could ever start
The Bible shows this kind of sorrow
When David wept bitterly for his son
Or Job whose children were robbed of tomorrows
Still, for greatness these men were not done
Grief can strike you to the core
Even to make it hard to breathe
Ever there's strength in the Lord
Who tends to your wounds, as you grieve
If you know someone who suffers
From Vilomah, just love on them
Fill their empty arms with hugs, often
And be a listening ear

Sanskrit word “Vilomah” — it means “against the natural order.” That’s why this grief cuts so much deeper. It’s not just losing someone you love — it’s losing a part of your future, your heart, and everything you hoped for. It’s completely unnatural. It’s confusing. It takes your breath away. The Bible shows us this kind of sorrow, like when David wept bitterly for Absalom or when Job lost all his children in one day. It shakes a parent to the core. The pain doesn’t really go away. It just changes.
But thank God, He is close to the brokenhearted and He binds up their wounds. If you know a parent who’s been through this, just love on them, sit with them, and give them grace. They need it more than you know
