Jacob's Blessings for All Families on the Earth

Jacob on a quest across the wilderness

To find a covenant bride in a distant place

Prayed under the stars and lay his head on a stone to rest

He'd need God's help to get where he was going

Then in a vision he could so clearly see

A ladder for God's angels ascending and  descending

He saw to the top into the high heaven

The Lord with open arms in all His glory

And was taught that through his family man's greatest blessings would be given

Here he lay at Heavens gate on the promised land

And called this place Bethel- the House of God

The holiest place on earth for the greatest blessing for man

There he understood the importance of family

Of having children and posterity

Here he learned how Heavenly angels answer prayers happily

Here he knew God would keep on showing

Here, in his own purpose, he started growing
