If you could hear
The Savior's prayers
Imagine the tears!
What warmth He shares!
How pure, His care!
If you could hear the Savior praying
Know that in all that He is saying
Sweetly, your name has been there, too
Daily, more than a time or two!
If you could hear
The Savior's prayers
Imagine the tears!
What warmth He shares!
How pure, His care!
If you could hear the Savior praying
Know that in all that He is saying
Sweetly, your name has been there, too
Daily, more than a time or two!
A garden should be pleasant
Peaceful, a place to be refreshed
But for Jesus, it was dreadful
As all of our pains and needs on Him were pressed
The Savior came willingly
Knowing the pain would be horrific
That the bitter cup was for His emptying
Yet as the only perfect lamb, alone All. He could not pick
Prayerfully, He did drink
It was vile so bitterly laden
It absorbed His soul, He would to shrink
He fell on His face, so overwhelmed, then
Every vicious battle of good and evil
Every painful battle of the suffering heart
Transferred to Him, fully, wholly, ALL people
It pressed, His sweat was bloody, and oooh, this was just the start
His friends, the arrest, the mock filled trial
Knowing well... us, He could expect nothing worse
The worst n us, in truth, is vile
The wounded wounding, He let these things run their course
Then, stripped, exposed each flogging strike tore
He held the gripping pain in, from each impact
With our stripes He was taunted yet more
And suffered it for each thankless soul there, too, in fact
As constant reminder, the cross on His wounds
Re inflicted pain and then He was nailed to it
He couldn't catch His breath, nerves tore at every pound
Still, perfect lamb perfectly knew us and was compassionate
Then stark reality came, worse than the weight of sin
As while our transferred debt upon redisplayed
He no longer could feel His Father was with Him
Jesus as us, pled, as He hung, Abba! Then.... then... the debt was paid
The perfect lamb was sacrificed
Blood and water from Him poured
As the spear pierced and verified
He is our Savior, ever more
A secret agent
Fights against time
And can become jaded
From death and crime
How do they do it?
Heroes behind the scenes...
What's hellish, visit
What's worse than any dreams
"Going native"
Acting the part
In sin to live
Hardening the heart
Gangs and mafia
The Cartel, the biker fights
How can they be what's
Won through initiation rites
Full fledged infiltration
Snuck in, under cover
This to protect our nation
For the better good- it's never over
There are so many movies, this question goes through my mind. How do they do it?
[Verse 1] Secret agent Racing clocks Coffee shakes From the thousand shocks Photos spread On a metal desk Red ink Dead ink Names he can't forget How do you keep From coming apart When every code word Buries a heart Heroes hidden In fluorescent hum Saving lives One lie a time [Chorus] Under cover Under oath He walks the line He swears them both What’s hellish Visit Then he leaves What’s worse than any dreams He breathes Goes native just to play the part Lives in sin Hardens the heart For the better good It’s never over Never over [Verse 2] Gangs and mafia Smoke-thick bars Cartel to biker wars And stolen cars Blood in the gutter Like rust in the rain He laughs on cue They don’t see the strain Full-fledged in Through the rites Took the beating Passed their nights Bruised and branded "one of us" Saint in the skin Of the ones he hunts [Chorus] Under cover Under oath He walks the line He swears them both What’s hellish Visit Then he leaves What’s worse than any dreams He breathes Goes native just to play the part Lives in sin Hardens the heart For the better good It’s never over Never over [Bridge] Every sin Signed with a flag in mind (yeah) Every ghost He files and hides Who saves the savior When the job is done? He lost his name But the war goes on [Chorus] Under cover Under oath He walks the line He swears them both What’s hellish Visit Then he leaves What’s worse than any dreams He breathes Goes native just to play the part Lives in sin Hardens the heart For the better good It’s never over Never over
His healing is sure

The cure to pride
Is Jesus Christ
Pray on. Confide
He hears our cries!
The Passover seder begins
But, who has brought the Lamb
To save us from death and sin?
Was He replaced with a ram?
Like Isaac who learned of God's plan?
No, He stands outside and He knocks!
We with ears to hear can hear!
We open the door, we unlock
And ask the lamb to draw near
It is then we sing with good cheer!
[Chorus]
Worthy is the lamb that was slain
Whose blood on each doorway stains
The perfect Lamb has earned always
Power, wealth, wisdom and strength
Honor and glory and praise
[Bridge]
Only, lonely, wholly
holy, holy, holy
Only, lonely, wholly
holy, holy, holy
`
[Chorus]
Worthy is the lamb that was slain
Whose blood on each doorway stains
The perfect Lamb has earned always
Power, wealth, wisdom and strength
Honor and glory and praise
[Verse 1]
Climb the well marked trail
That the Savior paved for you
Here, slowly, time does tell
Christ's foundation's always true
[Chorus]
Elevate your thoughts
To an holier perspective
Uplifted by Christ
Unto a higher path to live
[Verse 2]
Rise above the thick of things
To a panoramic view
Beyond that speck your problem brings
Once all encompassing you
[Chorus]
Elevate your thoughts
To an holier perspective
Uplifted by Christ
Unto a higher path to live
[Verse 3]
Distanced from your doubts and fears
What really truly matters, now?
In the coming months and years
Let the Spirit tell you what and how
[Chorus]
Elevate your thoughts
To an holier perspective
Uplifted by Christ
Unto a higher path to live

Perhaps, it's a magic mirror- not a door
From which our Savior stands and calls
You draw close to it- you feel Him more
And his countenance upon you falls!
Now. Perhaps while you are sleeping
A miracle will come
All that prayerful watch keeping....
Will somehow change your son
Restored for covenant keeping
[Chorus]
Pray for a miracle
And keep watch in faith
God wants His people
To be something great!
For your Son, How He waits!
See the bad that could happen
As possibilities
For a mighty change within ...
For opportunities
That his "Twelve steps" might begin.
[Chorus]
Pray for a miracle
And keep watch in faith
God wants His people
To be something great!
For your Son, How He waits!
Be prayerful and believing
That that mighty change will come
May He run to the Lord, leaping
With newness delightsome
As a son now covenant keeping
[Chorus]
Pray for a miracle
And keep watch in faith
God wants His people
To be something great!
For your Son, How He waits!
God is always there
And He has a plan
Your bad, He makes good
Your small, He makes grand
Each blessing aligns
With our faith and our prayers
In time, there are signs
That He knows and He cares
There is one, who loves you more!
To infinity and back, measure Jesus!
You cannot even the score.
Twenty-four-seven, He is there for us!
Anxiety sends me on a ride
Spinning thoughts on a merry-go-round
Again and again and again
Circling .... with no solution found!
[Verse 1] Anxiety sends me on a ride Spinning thoughts on a merry-go-round Again and again and again Circling No solution found Chewed-up nails and a restless jaw Clock ticks loud in an empty room Every little “what if” feels like law Every quiet second spells doom [Chorus] Round and round my head goes Same old fear in new clothes I’m chasing down a thought that won’t slow down Merry-go-round mind I’m dizzy Heart racing Palms all fizzy Let me off this painted Haunted town I keep circling with no solution found [Verse 2] Coffee cold on the bedside stand Phone face down but it still screams Stories I invent get out of hand Turn small sparks into big-screen scenes I rehearse every word I said Rewrite yesterday ‘til I’m numb But the more I fight inside my head The louder all the echoes become [Chorus] Round and round my head goes Same old fear in new clothes I’m chasing down a thought that won’t slow down Merry-go-round mind I’m dizzy Heart racing Palms all fizzy Let me off this painted Haunted town I keep circling with no solution found [Bridge] What if I just watched it spin Let the ride move Breathe me in (oh) Name the monsters Let them pass Feel my feet here On the grass [Chorus] Round and round my head goes But I’m learning when to close All the gates that feed this frantic crowd Merry-go-round mind Still busy But I’m standing Less so dizzy I won’t let every thought pin me down I’ll keep circling till a solution’s found
Rereading Andrew Skinner's The Savior's Final Week- a trilogy of the 3 gardens. I have never gotten past Gethsemane., as I decided to start from the beginning again.
We'll never understand

At the heart of the Atonement
All our suffering and sins
Were transferred upon Him
Hence, His sacred roll begins

Death- the thought is painful
Recall we all do it twice
As to become mortal
We left our Heavenly skies
Experience, to realize

Through the Lord's atonement
Life's bitter becomes sweet
Such a glorious feat!
Conviction is a prick,
A nudge at our heart
A reminder to repent
For loving peace to start

The agony of redemption
Began in Gethsemane
For naught did He opt "exemption "
Our Savior saves completely

The long night of Gethsemane
Was a victory for history- all alone
But His trial, as the Lamb, was beginning
Yes. He would be punished for all the good He had done!
------------------------------
The cup of gall was filled
By the wickedest in men
But, then it overflowed
By the treachery of a friend
treachery -noun
------------------------------
When compassion is felt
And there's repentance within
A hardened heart can melt
Through tender mercies given
------------------------------
When confessions are real
And repentance complete
Christ's atonement can heal
What's bitter is made sweet
(How that experience is sweet!)
-------------------------------
We all know the awfulness of sin,
Of trials and tribulation
How dearly Christ paid for our fallen education
Of each state of desperation
--------------------------------
No matter the ways we languish
From confinement, stagnation, neglect
When we feel Christ's love we flourish
God's plan is good and perfect
Ever to encourage and nourish
--------------------------------------
Because of Gethsemane's anguish
Of His compassion's without end
There is no barrier of language
He is all men's eternal friend
--------------------------------
In Christ, we are secure
And we have hope of help
How this does reassure
His Spirit, inside, does dwell
---------------------------
Let not your faith
whither or fade
Pray. It will grow.
Good seeds will sow!

Christ was all in,
In the garden
All our fallen parts
Transferred to Him
If not me, who?
If not now, when?
With much to do
I shall not, can not bend
For God and for family
I raise up my voice
And sing out quite happily
Of all that is choice
I found a date
To help out fate
A place? No you choose!
How can I refuse?
Smiling, as myself
I share. All is well!
And learn, if nothing else
God's winds in the sails
If we can't turn a corner
Or have to abandon ship
At least I'm getting closer
To THAT relationship!
Who is married happily?
I can pattern after them
I dream of my family
I pray again and again
Opening my mind
To God's hand in all things
I trust I will find
His plan. Let's see what dating brings!
For the richest of blessings
Asking for forgiveness I humbled myself in prayer, Save me from myself, Jesus... Of all my sin's burdens... I now share
[Verse 1]
Asking forgiveness Holy Humble prayer I lay my pride down Find Your mercy there Love and tenderness Meeting all my mess In Your arms of grace I am deeply blessed [Chorus] Here in Your arms of grace Love and tenderness combining You take this broken heart Turn the ache to something shining When I confess I see How abundantly I’m blessed You hold me close Refining Till my soul can purely Quietly rest [Verse 2] Set my ego And desires aside Teach me to listen And with You abide Seeking forgiveness Brings me to the light Shows me Your kindness More than I realized [Chorus] Here in Your arms of grace Love and tenderness combining You take this broken heart Turn the ache to something shining When I confess I see How abundantly I’m blessed You hold me close Refining Till my soul can purely Quietly rest [Bridge] Repentant heart Mindful of Your grace Every tear A turning of my ways In the quiet You are working Unexpressed In Your sacred Gentle whisper I can finally rest [Chorus] Here in Your arms of grace Love and tenderness combining You take this broken heart Turn the ache to something shining When I confess I see How abundantly I’m blessed You hold me close Refining Till my soul can purely Quietly rest
Sometimes I have to "back track" To get where I should be. To receive the strength I lack To get myself moving.
Deciding to "do it right" With hope I’d receive From beyond the veil, light If I’d first believe. On a spiritual journey I prayed to know the way With love and light forming for each step to take Recalling in a journal I let the spirit guide To endure life's final With God on my side. With Him, I won’t fail For I wait upon Him I’ve faith. All is well. The heavens will open On a spiritual journey The Lord guides the way With love and light forming Through each step we take A miracle comes Not as we expected As God speaks, to us His love is detectedHistory has never erased
Gethsemane's trees
After thousands of years, there stands
Three....of an ancestor's legacy
As a living witness today
At such a tree, He knelt that night
As for all of mankind He prayed
Perhaps here, in pain, He held on tight
While suffering, His tears and sweat
Dripped as He prayed alone and He wept
Blood inside Him could not be kept
So pressing was sn's all consuming debt
The 3 trees are DNA tested to be of the same parent and date to the 1100's AD. Gnarled and ancient, they still produce olives.

Faith plus repentance
Minus selfishness
Equals baptism
And the Holy Ghost's witness
We're clean. Christ IS upon us!
Duncan Rand Mackie's baptism
A special Saturday!
[Verse 1]
When you can't find the words to say
Listen more while you pray
Feel for His holy presence
And His peace in the silence
First examine your heart
Seek for gratitude, to start
Then, speak- what troubles you so
And feel His Spirit within flow
[Chorus]
All things are possible!
Our Father's universe
Is full of miracles!
Don't limit Him in your life!
Pray as much as you like!
[Verse 2]
With impressions in tow
Later through words you'll find, you'll know
Keep this prayer always in your heart
Read His words and trust He will impart
Perhaps from what someone says
Or a voice in your head ...that is His!
Make a record of the time and place
Let it fill your mind and heart with thanks
[Chorus]
All things are possible!
Our Father's universe
Is full of miracles!
Don't limit Him in your life!
Pray as much as you like!
The solemn marriage- wife and husband One woman, one man- hand in hand Together vow their love and fidelity A family begins responsibly
What matters the most, lasts the longest
And within the home, we are strongest
It should be strengthened and kept foremost
There is no question- love gives the most
Hear! Oh hear, God’s clarion call
The family is His gift to all
When we've a conflict or crisis
There is a lot we must process
And we see how strong families connect
For they are supportive, help, and protect
As priorities shut the child out
Declined values confuse and doubt
For the survival of the family
Children should be reared carefully
Hear! Oh hear, God’s clarion call
The family is His gift to all
Each member is in need of scaffolding
Held up by daily prayers they are holding
And, weekly there should be one evening
Set aside for home and believing
Each member should feel they are cherished,
Known, and loved by their brother, Jesus
His message to all cannot be ignored or denied
"Love one another-For you I suffered. I died!"
Hear! Oh hear, God’s clarion call
The family is His gift to all
We must now measure, we must fulfill
And live according to the Father's will
What matter's the most, lasts the longest
Believe this... With God and family we endure life's test
Hear! Oh hear, God’s clarion call
The family is His gift to all
