In degrees evil takes ahold
It is for each to decide
To defend Gods love, as one bold
Love can conquer every hate

Just brings us closer to the Lord
I just watched The Pastor, Spy, Assassin Bonhoeffer. He joined a deadly plot to assassinate Hitler and save millions of Jews. I had no idea the degree that Hitler had taken over the Lutheran Church.
His older brother left him his Bible when he was killed. He wrote that he underlined the best parts.
Maybe that is where he got his final words he said with the noose around his neck
"Blessed are they that mourn for they shall be comforted. Blessed are the merciful for they shall receive mercy. Blessed are the pure in heart for they shall see God."
