Your Center

We all sin
And fall short
Still, within
We seek more

Where do you go?
Why do you seek?
How do you know
What you will see?

It's all about proximity
Your gravitational pull
What your thoughts revolve around
When in trouble, who you turn to

Like the sun, our center
Who shows you the way?
And warms you with light?
Who brightens your day?

Jesus is the life
The light and the Way
He is our bread
And water each day

He stands at a door
And waits for our prayers
Our questions and more
He waits and He cares

Let Him be your center
And who you turn to
Your heart, let Him enter
Yes seek Him anew

[Verse 1] We all sin And fall short Still, within We seek more Where do you go? Who do you seek? How do you know What you will see? [Pre-Chorus] It's all about proximity Your gravitational pull What your thoughts revolve around When in trouble, who you turn to [Chorus] Jesus is the life The light and the Way He is our bread And water each day He stands at a door And waits for our prayers Our questions and more He waits and He cares [Verse 2] Like the sun, our center Who shows you the way? And warms you with light? Who brightens your day? Let Him be your center And who you turn to Your heart, let Him enter Yes seek Him anew [Bridge] When the road feels long And your words run dry He is near to you He will hear you cry Turn your heart again Let your searching end Draw me close to You Be my center now [Chorus] Jesus is the life The light and the Way He is our bread And water each day He stands at a door And waits for our prayers Our questions and more He waits and He cares

God uses the symbol of the sun for the celestial kingdom and the star for telestial kingdom.

But the sun and the stars are the same thing—balls of gas.

Two things are different:

1/Proximity

2. Center of our solar system

We all sin. We all fall short.
But where do we turn, or rotate to, when we fall?
What do we gravitate towards?
Who are we closest to in that moment?
.
Repentance is learning, in life's moments, to turn towards Christ.

To feel proximity to the Son.

Matthew 15: 8 Therefore the Lord said: “These people draw near to Me with their mouths and honor Me with their lips, but their hearts are far from Me.
