There is a spiritual sieve in place
That will separate those who love and embrace
The Book of Mormon from those who don't
WHO could be reading to know and won't
That will separate those who love and embrace
The Book of Mormon from those who don't
WHO could be reading to know and won't
A large measure of the love of God
Is found as you hold to this rod
The ways of the world are left behind
As from it, you search, ponder, and find
Is found as you hold to this rod
The ways of the world are left behind
As from it, you search, ponder, and find
It is filled with many lessons in life
One is the danger of contention
Another is the downfall from pride
How not having the word can lead to extinction
More so, it is filled with examples of light
Of the power of God Word within
Where kings and sons change overnight
And enemies bury their weapons
With the Book of Mormon in front of your eyes
You see God's hand in your life
The words teach and you know God hears your cries
As He points you toward Jesus Christ
[Verse 1]
There is a spiritual sieve in place
It separates the hearts awake
From those who love and hold this book
And those who only glance and look
A large measure of the love of God
Is found as you hold to this rod
The ways of the world fall behind
As you search, ponder, and find
[Pre-Chorus]
It teaches me to see
What pride can do to kings
It warns me how a word denied
Can leave a soul to wither inside
[Chorus]
No contention, no division
No disposition to do evil
Mighty change of heart
Love of God in my heart
No contention, no division
You turn me back to Jesus Christ
[Verse 2]
It is filled with many lessons in life
The danger of contention, the pull of pride
How enemies lay their weapons down
And mercy shakes the ground
With the Book of Mormon in front of my eyes
I see God's hand in my life
The words teach and I know You hear my cries
And still You point me toward Jesus Christ
[Pre-Chorus]
It teaches me to see
What pride can do to kings
It warns me how a word denied
Can leave a soul to wither inside
[Chorus]
No contention, no division
No disposition to do evil
Mighty change of heart
Love of God in my heart
No contention, no division
You turn me back to Jesus Christ
[Bridge]
From a mighty change of heart
Make me new, make me new
Let the old life fall apart
Make me good, make me true
Where kings and sons change overnight
Let Your light stay burning bright
And every road that I may know
Lead me where Your mercy goes
[Final Chorus]
No contention, no division
No disposition to do evil
Mighty change of heart
Love of God in my heart
No contention, no division
You turn me back to Jesus Christ
(Amos 9:8-10)
8 Behold, the eyes of the Lord God are upon the sinful kingdom, and I will destroy it from off the face of the earth; saving that I will not utterly destroy the house of Jacob, saith the Lord.
9 For, lo, I will command, and I will sift the house of Israel among all nations, like as corn is sifted in a sieve, yet shall not the least grain fall upon the earth.
10 All the sinners of my people shall die by the sword, which say, The evil shall not overtake nor prevent us.

Mosiah 5:2: "...the Spirit of the Lord Omnipotent, which has wrought a mighty change in us, or in our hearts, that we have no more disposition to do evil, but to do good continually."
