He Shapes Us and Builds Us Into Who We Are Meant to Be

 

God give us the very trials

That will shape us and build us

Into who we are meant to be

As we learn to lean and trust

Joseph spent time in prison before he taught the Pharoah

David was given a giant before he ruled with a crown

Moses walked the wilderness before he led Israel

John the Baptist ate locusts before he baptized Jesus

Each learned about failure, danger and faith

They learned to trust God before their escape

They stood alone in weakness until they found strength

This is the path to get our spirits in shape

Life's obstacles humble and refine us

They are God's tools s to help us mature

No trial is ever wasted if we endure it well

For they can change our hearts and very nature
