One in Purpose

 

Each separate, yet acting as one

In purpose, in teaching, and in love

Heavenly Father

His Son 

and the Holy Ghost 

a visiting /soul dwelling host?

When Jesus rose, baptized, from the water,

The Holy Spirit descended like a dove

And God sounds from above, "This is my beloved Son!"

Man made in God's image

Can be convert and baptized, also

We can pray in Jesus' name 

The Spirit confirms this so

The bible reconfirms this also

When the first martyr looked up and saw 

Jesus standing at the right hand of God

Jesus taught and testified of Him

 He said, "I am come to do the Father's will"

And that, "My Father is greater than I!"

I ascend unto my Father

to my God and your God

The perfect Son, obeys and honors

The eternal Heavenly Father

Too Jesus asks of us

To be one, united, all

Even as He is with God

In purpose, righteous

one in mind

one in will

one in purpose

Peace. Be still

No contention

No confusion

Just connection

Just submission

With life eternal

God's plan for all

And as a second witness

In a grove of trees

Jesus prayed , with questions

And He saw, gloriously

The Holy Spirit filling the sky with light

The Father and the son

distinctly, standing unitedly

The Father speaking with approval

As the Son obeys and performs God's will

Too Jesus asks of us

To be one, united, all

Even as He is with God

In purpose, righteous
