Threatening, this dark cloud
Of questions troubled meAnd caused my heart to doubt
For, the Heavens felt silent
Have you ever been in my shoes?
It is a scary place to be
Feeling that God is indifferent
What changed? What is wrong with me?
But, some answers require more
For the Lord wants you to dig deep
Into your heart, there to implore
grappling, struggling, wrestling
Because he knows this will help you grow.
He is building up your faith
To receive revelation and know
This pattern for life's trials you will face
Did you study it out?
Go to the temple in prayer?
Fasting to learn about?
Read the scriptures with care?
Spiritual training
Can be exhausting
But, that means you're close
To true humility
Then you feel, to the heavens you rose!
Light and Truth
Answered with love
The struggle real
