I have learned we turn petty when life is good
We forget how we struggled to achieve
How we helped others in need each time we could
Reminding, "You have got this! Be patient! Believe!"
Do we judge someone's shoes
That we have not walked in
No. We offer the good news
And shoes we know will fit
Shall we be proud, haughty
And look down on those with less?
Not long ago, humbly
It was us seeking God to bless
