A Man of Compassion
Born of his youth
In the days of Depression
His works were the proof...
He gave up prized rabbits
That stomachs would fill
Exemplifying family habits
Of offering good will
At the tender age of sixteen
His life of service was foretold
That among his fellows, he would lead
And indeed, this blessing did unfold
At age twenty-two
As Bishop he was called
85 widows ever knew
His visits never stalled
Then... as a mission president
Over Canada's vast land
It became more evident
A born leader was at hand
Finally, at but thirty six
He was ordained an Apostle
Blessing us through the way he lives
Testifying how all things are possible
Now... as our prophet today
In one eternal round
He speaks through experience
With compassion...we should be found
