In a Room Filled with all the Professions

In a room filled with all the professions
We spoke of what our Savior means
And as there were so varied confessions
He means just everything to everyone it seems

For He speaks to the teacher
The physician the lawyer
The carpenter and preacher
The sinner and the toiler...

The farmer, the biologist
The servant, the baker
The florist, the geologist
The fisherman, the banker...

He taught from each place He ever stood
With parables of things they knew about
And those with ears to listen understood
As they reviewed His sermon upon the mount

In truth all things point to Christ
As all that is living is born of Him
He the creator and giver of life
Has put his light inside to dwell therein

Then, last of all to speak was me
And I was uncertain of what to say
For I had not yet come to be
And all I could say... is He is the Way
