Dear Library

Dear Library,
Thank you for the comfy chair
And the air conditioning
While I've been uncertain where
I'll be repositioning

I love to look at each person's face
While they've a book they embrace
They sit so still- their eyes so intent
For soon they will turn a page to invent

What a fulfilling way
To spend a hot summer's day
Then... of course the little nap
With that book still on the lap

Such is a place of learning
As it ever extends the mind
These pages keep on turning
For new things there to find

Thank you for keeping it quiet
And placing that best book
Where I'll walk by and spy it
Before someone else is there to look
