When our conduct is based on values
We're on a path filled with light
As we put the Lord's doctrines to use
Our hope grows through new insight
The gospel can change behavior
Quicker than any behavioral study
With the first we've hope to be pure
With the latter truth's matter is muddy
It is truly exhilarating
To ask and become spiritually cleansed
We are consoled. It is liberating
When we are not harrowed up by our sins
Just as we are obedient to laws
There are laws for ordinances too
The gospel can wash us of flaws
With values that cleanse and renew

Alma 36:17-19
17 And it came to pass that as I was thus racked with torment, while I was harrowed up by the memory of my many sins, behold, I remembered also to have heard my father prophesy unto the people concerning the coming of one Jesus Christ, a Son of God, to atone for the sins of the world.
18 Now, as my mind caught hold upon this thought, I cried within my heart: O Jesus, thou Son of God, have mercy on me, who am in the gall of bitterness, and am encircled about by the everlasting chains of death.

ReplyDeleteiff you believe that Jesus is GOD then he is also the God of Moses and Abraham in the old testament and that changes the Gospel very very much
