Quiet Stirrings of the Heart

We've quiet stirrings,
Deep inside our heart.
When we see cunnings
That a friend imparts.

A victim of crime
Soon takes his last breath.
Unknown at the time,
A friend caused his death.

The perpetrators
Were once good in youth.
Then, to self- traitors,
They became uncouth.

A single event
Stirs deep-set questions-
What can we prevent?
Where's our directions?

A trial disjoints
For life is precious,
Filled with turning points.
And much is tenuous.

With all this abreast
We know God is just.
And, thus we can rest
With faith and with trust.

When quiet stirrings
Turn us to action.
Pray no occurings
Bring us distraction.

As we commit to
An experience,
We must submit too.
Turned to our faith, hence.
