Chosen for Us

Like Moses who lead Israel
And helped them in the wilderness
Our prophet, Dallin H Oaks
Reminds us, God is with us

He learned early in life
The importance of extended family
As his father was ill and died
And his grandparents stepped in, happily

True to the legacy
His father left behind
He kept the Sabbath Day
And was home for dinner time

Like his father, a doctor
He advocates education
He advanced as a lawyer
To become a judge- Supreme in station

He promotes freedom of religion
and the sanctity of marriage
our divine constitution given
and Heavenly Father's plan for us

This is who God chose for us

This is who we heed

Along the path paved by Jesus
