In God's Hands Ninevah

How large the heavens are!
How short our time on earth!
 Our sun, our fiery star,
Can be eclipsed, we learn

 Just like in Nineveh
In darkness, they repented!
Turned to the Son of God
And kept the commandments!

Our future's are up in the air
Then we find that we have been
In God's hands all along
Oh now sing, of love's redeeming song

Surprise those who doubted you
Would listen and turn around!
Like Jonah even when God sent him to...
But God knows where His sheep are found

I read something that said that Jonah didn't want to go to Nineveh, but when he did people there repented because, partly, they saw a solar eclipse and felt that it was a sign- a call for repentance.

It looks like a lot of people are recognizing our future is up in the air when it's been in God's hands all along.

[Verse 1] How large the heavens are! How short our time on earth! Our sun, our fiery star, Can be eclipsed, we learn [Pre-Chorus] Just like in Nineveh In darkness, they repented Turned to the Son of God And kept the commandments [Chorus] In God's hands all along In God's hands all along Oh now sing, of love's redeeming song In God's hands all along [Verse 2] Our future's are up in the air Then we find that we have been In God's hands all along Oh now sing, of love's redeeming song [Pre-Chorus] Surprise those who doubted you Would listen and turn around Like Jonah even when God sent him to... But God knows where His sheep are found [Chorus] In God's hands all along In God's hands all along Oh now sing, of love's redeeming song In God's hands all along [Bridge] We were wandering, wide-eyed Still You held us close Under every darkened sky You were the hope we chose [Final Chorus] In God's hands all along In God's hands all along Oh now sing, of love's redeeming song In God's hands all along
