A Nation of Prayer- America

 

As a nation we've woven our trust In and acknowledge Almighty God And ask, once more, His provident hand be over us Humbly, we rededicate this land with awe He planted seeds And they gave root His laws, our deeds Growth that bears fruit Woven in our character Is to give thanks and obey Unto Him, our creator As His people, we pray We have always been And still are A nation of prayer We unite in prayer In suffering when We need care He is there We have always been And still are A nation of prayer We unite in prayer In great struggle, when through His hands Triumphs there We have learned In whom to turn For courage and strength To walk the path He wants for us In hope and faith and trust That prayer brings out the best in each of us
