 A Name to Your Pain

You have a name for the pain!

And somehow this helps?

It means you are not insane,

Or left to yourself!

Your unique pain is known,

By somebody else!

And you don't feel alone!

Even... as your life pales!

Jesus names your every pain

From the onset to end

The crushing torture descends

And His strength he lends

As you run out, He offers breath

To say your last peace

The last sigh before death

At last the pain does cease

Jesus can put a name to your pain!  Spasms, throbbing, cutting, stinging, frightful, unbearable, crushing, radiating, stabbing, searing, splitting, burning, blinding, shooting, penetrating, nauseating, smarting, spreading, torturing, etc.  

And then there is emotional pain

stages of grief...

anxiety, fear, worry, numbness, post traumatic disorder

depression, sadness, hopelessness, worthlessness, isolation

shame, guilt, failures, self-criticism, self-loathing

loneliness, rejection, abandonment

anger, frustration, jealousy, obsession
