Asking for forgiveness
I humbled myself in prayer,
Save me from myself, Jesus...
Of all my sin's burdens... I now share
For change, it was time, the pain all too real
My choices so selfish, I'd acted in pride
My heart so hard and heavy it needed to heal
I could no longer run from God nor could I hide
Setting my ego
and desires aside!
I trusted to obey.
With Jesus to abide.
Love and tenderness combining
I feel abundantly blessed
It is sacred and refining
Purely, quietly- rest
Seeking for forgiveness, I completely confessed
My repentant heart melted, mindful of His grace
I recognized how abundantly I have been blessed
Here, I see He refined me in quiet sacred ways!
I feel my heart changed
In quiet sacred ways
Trying to put into words
How sacred is God's Word!
What joy....to hear Him speak
And feel His mercy, as I seek!
Then the prayer...
Asking for forgiveness
Is a holy and humble prayer,
As you align yourself with Jesus...
It's then His arms of grace are there
Love and tenderness combining
We feel abundantly blessed
It is sacred and refining
Purely, quietly- rest!
Pondering comments on Elder Bednar's talk on prayer. Thoughts continue to grow in my heart.

Seeking forgiveness aligns us to Christ
As a repentant heart is mindful of His grace
And we recognize how abundantly we've been blessed
Here, we see He refines us in quiet sacred ways!
The Lord entrusts all His servants
With His love, to pass along
When we are more given to service
We lift others to become strong

When you cant find the words to say
Listen more while you pray
Feel for His holy presence
And His peace in the silence
Then examine your heart
Seek for gratitude, to start
Then, speak- what troubles it so
And feel His Spirit within flow
With impressions in tow
Later through words you'll find, you'll know
Keep this prayer always in your heart
Read His words and trust He will impart
Perhaps from what someone says
Or a voice in your head ...that is His!
Make a record of the time and place
Let it fill your mind and heart with thanks

In the Book Of Mormon before Christ's ascension into heaven he said. "Verily I say unto you, whatever thing ye shall ask the father in my name, believing that ye shall receive, it shall be given unto you. Now, this promise is unto all, even unto the ends of the earth. 🌎 This was the last thing Christ said unto the people, in the hearing of the multitude, before his ascension into heaven. Christ didn't instruct the multitude to pray a certain way. He said "Whatsoever thing ye shall ask" Don't restrict your prayers. The Universe is full of miracles, don't limit them in your life. P.s Was a good talk though
All things are possible!
Our Father's universe
Is full of miracles!
Don't limit Him in your life!
Pray as much as you like!

I only thanks the lord for his restored gospel and how he communicates with us by his servants

That is a beautiful and sufficient gratitude. To thank the Lord for His restored gospel and for speaking to us through His servants is to acknowledge His hand in the most essential things. From that foundation, our asking, trusting, and enduring all find their place. May we continue to hear His voice and follow it faithfully.
It is a beautiful and sufficient prayer
To give thanks for the blessings we all share
For our Savior, His atonement, the gospel,
His priesthood, our covenants, His apostles,
And His temples where eternity becomes possible
From a foundation of thanks
For His loving hand in all things
We know to ask and trust in faith!
Through His tender mercy and grace
We've strength to endure all we'll face!

@DocFixit32 Thank you for sharing your perspective. I agree that when the Savior taught prayer, He emphasized asking—bringing our desires, needs, and burdens honestly before the Father. Scripture repeatedly invites us to ask, seek, and knock. While gratitude matters and can be expressed through our lives and charity, prayer itself is not diminished when it is urgent, pleading, or focused on our needs. God welcomes sincere asking. May His kingdom come swiftly, and may He strengthen us as we endure
Ponder always in your heart
Jesus' teachings and love for you
In His atonement, your part
Of the suffering He went through
A Jewish Prayer for Yeshua
Our Heavenly Father
I read of your invite
To pray, that I matter!
Oh how my heart delights!
My desires, my needs
The woes before my face
I'm here, on my knees
Humbly, for I need Thy grace
My choices weigh my soul
And so does this world
This takes a heavy toll
So much has unfurled
For mercy and forgiveness
For strength to make amends
For endurance through meekness
I pray Thy Son, Thou sends
I plead, sincerely asking
to abide in that sweet peace
That surpasses understanding
That pain inside may cease
That love inside increase
"Shalom"
