Remnants

The gospel, diffused, 

Is found everywhere.

Hints of the fullness

Remain, though unclear.

Each ancient site's

Writings, rites, and more

Are but remnants of light,

As signs, we've our Lord.

Why Am I At Church Today?

Above all the reasons 

I came to church today

Is to show I love the Savior

And want to live with Him someday!

Angels are in our midst

When Heaven opens,

Not one scene, will we miss

I believe we will see all the influences from both sides of the veil and how they mpacted our lives for our progression and education. Loved ones, who've passed on, serving, supporting, forgiving, hoping,  and trusting in what we can become.

With just what you need.

Thus, once you are fed

Pay it forward and lead (others).

Practice Virtue and Holiness

Practice virtue and holiness,
Thankfully, from the heart.
For, along the path of happiness
Gifts are needed. You've a part!



Virtue of the mind and heart
Has high moral standards as its start
Unto a holy sheen
That in the eyes, then, can be seen

Based on everyday reactions-
To others words, to others actions
Quiet dignity and inner strength
Comes to those who do not stray 

Virtue encompasses chastity

And purity-based morality
Practiced and nurtured in the home
For a nobler place to be shown...

Holy, this place, is the temple
Where our Father's covenant people
Can receive the Spirit's guidance
And be led unto His presence

Virtue 'is a pattern of thought and behavior based on high moral standards' (Preach My Gospel [2004], 118). It encompasses chastity and moral purity. Virtue begins in the heart and in the mind. It is nurtured in the home. It is the accumulation of thousands of small decisions and actions. Virtue is a word we don't hear often in today's society, but the Latin root word virtuous means strength. Virtuous women and men possess a quiet dignity and inner strength. Calmness Came

In need of care

I turned to prayer

In the Lord's name

Love replaced fear.

You may not always, in thought, be given

To want to shop or be socially driven 

You may not choose to twirl or flip your hair 

Or talk with your hands flittering in the air 

You may not giggle while covering your mouth 

Or piercingly scream at the sight of a mouse 

You may not lift up your nose or roll your eyes 

Or sob with sad shoulders at goodbyes 

You may not be seen at the baby showers 

Or found dreaming of romance at all hours 

You may not be given to color your nails 

Or watch your figure or obsess with the scales

 You may be different and that's a OK 

You're a child of God who made you that way 

Your beauty is found when you do what you love 

And nurture those gifts given from above

Purpose is found when you forget yourself 

And open up to others and offer your help

Laugh with joy and dance about

You are a woman, have no doubt!

When the rug gets pulled out

From beneath your eager feet

This is not a place for doubt

But a welcome mat to greet

Life is a long journey 

Where we can lose our way

From this vantage point, please see

I had emergency surgery and had to do a month of bedrest. I went from spending all my energy teaching first grade to watching tv all day! Now I am rebuilding strength for going back to school while committing myself to making room for balance.
