A Change in Tune

Luke met Duke while in grade one
And grew huge in attitude
They abused the rules to poke fun
In music, they were quite rude!

Luke's mother has not a clue
For at home he is so cute
He's kind and does not argue
To amuse, he plays his flute

Duke, like a human statue,
Refuses his mom's every rule
Oft in the refuse she must rescue
His band uniform for school

One day, Luke's mom got a call
He had said a word like mule!
She did not think this cute at all
He had to pay for her fuel

Rude is not so popular
That night mom had barbecue
While poor Luke washed the car
And ate what prunes he could chew

His mom made him wear a suit
The next day.  His mood was blue
He told Duke he was a brute
This change in tune was past due!

And that you don't measure up
Find a quiet place and pray

write it down

and do these day by day

At the Helm

Though a gun is to your head
And your plane is crashing down
Know that God is at the helm
And His angels all around

For the times that we live in
He has been given words to say
Oh yes!  How, we sustain Him!

Out of the park

Hit the ball out of the park is an idiom that means to do something extraordinarily well.
What better thing to do exceptionally well, than to teach the gospel to a golden contact.
