I Struggle in My Troubles Until..

I struggle in my troubles
Daily there is no peace.
Till I turn to our Father
How the Spirit does please!
He knows my heart, what I'm feeling
And He knows just what I need:
To serve Him, share His love
And let is pure light lead

I know when I've the spirit
New thoughts enter my mind
And my heart thrills to hear it
Sweet is this joy to find!
Feeling God's hand helps me endure
Helps me want more to reach forth
And assist those down trodden,
To know whom to live for

I was playing Away in a Manger and these words started to unfold to the melody. It was a lovely experience.  Does anyone else come up with their own words to favorite hymns?
