Shepherds Leaders of Long Ago

Shepherds of long ago
Learned the right paths to take
They shared so we may know
What to anticipate

The elements and threats of prey
Were a cause of constant threat
They knew that they must pray
The past helped them not forget
------------  
They were the holy men of old

And their testament lives on

When shepherd's, of the Christ child were told,

I'm sure they joined with the angels in song!
