He Faced It and Shunned It Satan Was WRONG

A Timeline Of Talks On Service By: President Thomas S. Monson

He was faced with temptations
And offered lands and nations
He could have proved His strength was strong
But He shunned it all...Satan was WRONG!

He is the Almighty, the Son
Perfectly, the atoning one
And for eternity, He has just begun
To redeem what He has already won!

It brings me to glad tears to think of this good man, President Monson, through the years giving his life in service for the Lord.
It brings me to glad tears to think of the Savior withstanding anything that Satan put in front of Him and then taking all that we succumbed to and suffering for us!

Already Won

Verse 1] He was faced with temptations Offered lands and nations Crowns that crumble into dust If He’d just betray our trust He could have proved His strength was strong Crushed the dark with one quick song But in quiet Steady love He chose the road of blood [Chorus] He shunned it all Satan was wrong (Satan was wrong) Every lie fell silent in His tongue of truth and calm He is the Almighty Son Perfectly The atoning One For eternity He has just begun To redeem what He has already won [Verse 2] Every kingdom Every throne Already His Already known Yet He walked the narrow way So the lost could find their place In the hunger In the fast Every “no” forever cast Through the wilderness alone He was leading us back home [Chorus] He shunned it all Satan was wrong (hey!) Every chain lies broken where His wounded hands belong He is the Almighty Son Perfectly The atoning One For eternity He has just begun To redeem what He has already won [Bridge] From the desert to the hill From the grave to glory still Every battle Every scar Says how loved and claimed we are (oh-oh) [Chorus] He shunned it all Satan was wrong Every lie is buried and His victory sings on He is the Almighty Son Perfectly The atoning One For eternity He has just begun To redeem what He has already won To redeem what He has already won (already won)
