How Can You Know?

How Can You know
Those things which are true?
The spirit does show
Them nigh unto you

Start with a prayer

And confess your question

Give reasons, share

Seek for an impression

A feeling
A thought
A whisper
You're taught

The spirit answers

Be still and sense it

Read and seek to discern

Listen, open ended

And when the answer does come

In faith's deepest expression, give thanks

this thought keeps staying with me.  We are all unique, and the spirit speaks differently to each of us- in different ways according to our questions, prayers, needs, etc.
Maybe we should always have a question in our heart.  Pondering...
