The records we hold came at a high price
Of painstaking labor and sacrifice
The prophets share with us the words of Christ
For our learning they are filled with His light
Absolute morals do and will exist
Through repentance there is grace to enlist
Of the Atonement the scriptures witness
Offering examples of how to persist
The world teaches:
There are no absolute morals.
Every man prospers according to his genius
and conquers according to his own strength.
Whatever man does there is no crime.
When we die that is the end, thereof.
