Jesus Forgives Sins and Heals a Man Stricken with Palsy

Jesus said, "An eye for an eye
A tooth for a tooth"

Then, suddenly there was open sky

And a bed dropped from the roof 

Jesus spoke to this man

Palsied from birth

His sins were forgiven

He stood with worth!

He, humbly lowered

This man arose now healed

And hugged the Lord

Then walked home with his bed

Stratight away

Jesus was accused

Of blasphemy

Quietly, He mused

Then He turned to impart

"Why reason these things

Within your own heart?"

Healing and forgiving

Neither are easy

But, each are a blessing

Let us remember 

Jesus' words, His deeds

And as a member

Meekly follow His lead

Don't sink to the level
Of anger or fear
Resist not that evil
Keep your purpose near

Do all a favor
Speak of faith, not doubt
Look to the Savior
Keep His love about

If he strikes your cheek

Offer the other

Be bold and yet meek

Love one another

Then, hold up Christ's light
And seek to know His will
If it's right, then fight
Armed with righteousness, still
