Whosoever Will Lose His Life for My Sake Shall Find It

Jesus taught of His impending death,
But poor Peter wished things another direction.
Jesus wasted not a single breath,
To reprove and then offer loving correction.

 For what is life without the soul,
Or faith without good works?
Deny yourself, complete your role.
Do not avoid what hurts.

 Pick up your cross.
Serve and  follow Him.
Heed the words of Christ.
See that you do them.

John 16:8 And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of
righteousness, and of judgment: 16:9 Of sin, because they believe not
on me; 16:10 Of righteousness, because I go to my Father, and ye see
me no more; 16:11 Of judgment, because the prince of this world is
judged.
