The Shedding of Blood Began

The shedding of blood began
In the garden of Gethsemane
The weight of sin of each man
Was then atoned for in Calvary

He, with all our sins upon Him
Was the scapegoat cast out to die
He was completely closed off from heaven
As He was disowned, betrayed, and denied

Still, He forgave each enemy
And prayed for them to Father above
From birth to death He was exemplary
His life- a perfect message of love
