Once and For All

For every person who ever lived
The Lord has prepared a gift;
For each immortality
The soul of man to lift.

The Lord, once and for all
Did what we could never do.
He redeemed us from the fall
To call us home anew.

Too, in truth, He did much more!
He suffered all of our woes.
Sweating blood through every pore
As for our sins and pain He posed.

With us, He mourns as one who knows;
As all our burdens, He bares too.
He saves us from ourselves and foes
When we pray in faith, anew.
