Wounds Take Time to Heal

Wounds can cut deep
And need time to heal
Some prone to weep,
The pain quite unreal

Patience is required
And scars are expected
Pain's end is desired
The rawness inspected

Debride, staple, stitch, or glue
Then, the body must do the rest
It is a time to endure and grow
With gratitude in one's breast
