There is much more to repentance
Than I had previously thought
It is not through self control or persistence
Nor is it a battle to be fought
One must lay down all weapons
And abandon all pride
Pray to the Lord through what threatens
And return to His side
It is through that conviction
Which pierces the humble heart
It is through meek submission
True conversion does start
"Conviction, humility, repentance, and submissiveness precede the abandonment of our weapons of rebellion. Do you and I still possess weapons of rebellion that keep us from becoming converted unto the Lord? If so, then we need to repent now."
