In the Holy Land
Where past and present meet
I feel something grand
A light made warm to greet
It illuminates the church
Where the babe lay long ago
When our Savior came to Earth
His promise, bright aglow
It kisses upon the trees
Where He knelt upon His face
In the Garden of Gethsemane
Love for us, He embraced
It warms the walls and entrance
Of the tomb where Mary wept
Unto the small distance
Where Christ's body had been kept
In the footsteps of Jesus
I look for signs. He was here!
I read of His miracles
And I feel that He is near
Where past and present meet
I feel something grand
A light made warm to greet
It illuminates the church
Where the babe lay long ago
When our Savior came to Earth
His promise, bright aglow
It kisses upon the trees
Where He knelt upon His face
In the Garden of Gethsemane
Love for us, He embraced
It warms the walls and entrance
Of the tomb where Mary wept
Unto the small distance
Where Christ's body had been kept
In the footsteps of Jesus
I look for signs. He was here!
I read of His miracles
And I feel that He is near
