Tell that bedtime story
You tell again and again;
I never find it boring-
It has become my best friend.
Wrapped in blankets securely
I feel my eyes half close.
I picture it so surely-
I'm oft there, I suppose!
I've come to see what they saw
And know the things they knew.
Of their faith, I am in awe-
I want to be like them, too!
-------------------------------
There is so much to discover
Inside this ancient book.
Read it from cover to cover-
It testifies... if we look!
What does a child need to know
From a parent- of this book?
Understanding, testimony, enthusiasm-
And the desire for themselves to look!
