Went on a tour given to the parents and family of the graduating class of doctors. This poem is based on all the brass plaques, statues, and messages displayed throughout the campus. What a great day!

The best way to learn is to reach out
And help another in turn
To understand what disease lay about
Then to alleviate, heal, and discern

Learning to help those in harms way
Whether in the clinic or battlefield
Using the technology of our day
For the benefits it will yield

Whether implicit or explicit
Leadership is woven here
With so many rotations in transit
We're prepared to go anywhere

Honor, Courage, Commitment

Demara is now a doctor of the Airforce- what a wonderful day. We spent the day in Washington DC. My heart was turned to the history of this nation and the wonderful leaders born of this great land of freedom. I want to read about Dr. Benjamen Rush- a signer of the Declaration of Independence and one who struggled to save lives and alleviate suffering during rampant yellow fever. And great quotes of Mark Stephens, Ronald Reagan, and Congressman Hebert.
