Education is Power

Education is power
In many real ways
As opportunities shower
And secularly pays

Learning to think clearly
One can see far and wide
Appreciating life dearly
Working well to decide

Even while food is scarce
It is wise to teach your children
For light is abundant to share
And shines upon all we're given

But herein is wisdom
Let not knowledge turn to pride
For the mind is not a kingdom
In which we can reside

But in all learning be humble
Given much to fasting and prayer
Know that it will enoble
He who feels blessed to share

Teach diligently
Seeking God's light
While continually
Doing what's right

Knowing it is through grace
That doctrine can expand
Magnify your place
And seek out the Lord's hand

Without the Lord there is less
Expansion of the mind
Know...He is eager to bless
Those who serve mankind

When we reach beyond
What we know in mortality
The touch of the Master
Comes to those with humility
