What Part Have I Played?

What part have I played
In the suffering of the Son?
What price for me was paid?
So heavy the ransome

If I were to put myself
In this traveler's place
And carry the cross to help
I'd have this blood upon my face!

So thankful I am
That this day came to pass
Now to await the lamb
When He will come, finally, at last!
