A Testimony Borne Today

A testimony borne today
Can quickly fade away
It must be nourished with light
Sprung from faithfulness bright

A testimony made can grow
Bright and warm like the sun
Setting the spirit aglow
Or diminish away to none

A testimony is as fragile
As capturing a beam of light
It is only there to handle
When you align yourself just right
