With the Sun Setting Fast

With the sun setting fast
Upon long years in school
The graduating class
Had feelings tug and pull

Each had come to a wall
Their future to discover
Being compared to all
Oft feeling like a number

With a race to meet the finish
Their best must be displayed
Within financial limits
As budget plans are laid

Though darkness lies ahead
Soon will come the new dawn
Where one is brighter lead
If the Son is looked upon

I wrote this last summer and rediscovered it... almost threw it away. I will have to send it to my son, Shawn, who graduated from BYU with his wife.
