Community Civility Awarded!

Community Civility
Was awarded to the town
That turned bickering and blaming
Completely upside down

Believing negative thoughts
Had created their sad lot
They pinpointed each confusion
Aimed high and reached solutions

Intelligence was reborn
As their citizenship reformed
They stepped back from old mindsets
Organizing to their highest!

If one plan was not a success
They didn't blame or regress
They stepped back unto new thought
As for brighter light they then sought

May this dream expand through the nation...
For we are in need of an education
Life is simple when it's sound
Unto our foundation let's be found

Let us speak up and get all to pledge
Unto becoming the leading edge
That others nations might follow
For it is through believing... thoughts allow

I hope everyone gets out and votes today
Then not complain, but get to work and pray
This is our country, let us be one under God
He has planted each of us here, on this good sod

I may not like my president
But he is who we picked
May his goodness be evident
As to our convictions, he is pricked

Let him be principled and refined
A man with integrity defined
Let him know we love our country
And it's the American Spirit we are wanting

Let him seek and live our founding,
Before he works to make new laws
May our prayers for him be sounding
That righteousness be his cause

With the principle of pay it forward
Let us be positive and expand onward
We are a city shining on a hill
And we've mighty works to fulfill

It is said we're just seven
From knowing any one
Please go out and tell eleven
We have only just begun!
