Line Upon Line We Learn

Line upon line we learn
But sometimes there is naught
Thus, if we mark beyond... to discern
We'll be but consumed and distraught

For Satan awaits these seekers
Through sophistry and spurious revelation
Let's beware of searching as lofty peekers
For apostasy's within reach at this elevation

Those trying to know all and exceed orthodoxy
Are, too, on a path just as dangerous
As, also, those waiting to learn by proxy
Who idly fall short, lacking faith and trust
