See the bigger picture
Of what's in the scriptures
The offer of so much more
To those whose spirits are poor

We have so little to give
And yet everything to receive
If through the Lord's guidance we live
And we choose to do and believe

Read the Beatitudes
In the Savior's company
And be fed as with rich foods
Which fills our heart's new opening

Each phrase is as a pearl
That's strung into a necklace
To make a better world
That's brighter with white newness

Come and be adorned
While hungering righteousness
There is beauty from the Lord
That to the meek, He does bless

He'll help our hearts be pure
As our minds discern
His words ever endure
As to them we read and turn
