One Hundred Countries Have Visited This Blog

One hundred countries
Have visited this blog
They've come to search these
Poems that mind bog

The pace does stupefy
As I have read so much
On a race to testify
Of what to me does touch

Late into the night
Or in the early morn
The words come as light
That are tested to perform

I close my eyes often
As if in a doze
Until a thought does soften
Unto poetic prose

What is Prose Poetry?
Prose poetry combines the characteristics of poetry with the apparent appearance of prose containing traces of metrical structure or verse. Prose poetry deliberately breaks some of the normal rules of prose to create heightened imagery or emotional effect.

In writing this poem- I found myself- poetic prose- as often I don't necessarily rhyme and use rhythm. In a sense I am tone deaf and don't even hear that pattern. ( I dropped out of Linguistics and Music Appreciation) I have had to work harder at playing the piano, singing, and song writing than anybody. Those truly talented must scratch their heads. I have over 70 songs that I play that are nonsense to musicians. But, someday there will be one- a sacrament hymn if I am ever so blessed.
