Let the Words From the Scriptures

Let the words from the scriptures
Lift you as a gentle breeze
And carry to you as a whisper
God's witness, He hears your pleas

Let it also cool your brow
As you daily toil and sweat
May the words there in endow
And let you know, He's with you yet

For His words offer us aid
Unto paths brighter paved
May you see what's tailor made
That from the dust has been saved

Let the words ever stay
Within your mind there to drift
For in sureness they do lay
Renewed strength that does uplift

Let the words send you new breath
As you fill your soul with truth
Feel the emotion in your breast
Speaking lovingly as the proof
